Rapides Parish School District is hiring two full-time Custodians in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, to help keep our school campuses clean, safe, and well cared for. About the Role
As a Custodian with Rapides Parish School District, you will be entrusted with the day-to-day upkeep of an assigned site, including its building, grounds, facilities, and equipment. This is a non-exempt (FLSA), full-time position based in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, with a term of twelve (12) months. The Custodian reports to the Building Evaluator or a designee and does not supervise other staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all assigned areas of the school building, facilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Carry out caring, cleaning, repairing, and replacing tasks to keep the site in good working order.
- Help ensure that buildings, equipment, and outdoor grounds remain safe, orderly, and presentable.
- Complete assigned duties under the direction of the Building Evaluator or designee.
Qualifications
- Skilled in the upkeep of school district building facilities, equipment, and grounds, including caring, cleaning, repairing, and replacing.
- Able to perform the physical, hands-on work associated with custodial and grounds maintenance.
- Reliable, attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
