We are seeking an experienced Business Services Advisor (Tax & Compliance) to manage business, trust, and complex individual tax returns, with a strong focus on small business advisory and tax planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or tax compliance roles
- Working knowledge and familiarity with Australian tax, including business, trust, and individual tax returns.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Word
- Advanced experience using Xero accounting software
- Experience with Xero Practice Manager, particularly for WIP (Work in Progress) tracking and timesheets
- Strong hands-on experience in FBT, particularly motor vehicle and entertainment benefits
- Working knowledge of Div 7A, including ability to identify applicability and prepare supporting workpapers
- Experience in providing comprehensive tax planning services
- Experience reviewing and mentoring junior staff
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to work independently
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
