About the Role
As a Community Consultant with AvalonBay Communities, you'll guide prospective residents through every step of their leasing journey at our Fairfax, VA location. This is a full-time, in-person position centered on hospitality, sales, and resident relationships within a respected, professionally managed apartment community.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome prospective residents, lead engaging property and model tours, and showcase the lifestyle our community offers.
- Convert inquiries into signed leases by understanding each visitor's needs and recommending the right apartment home.
- Manage the leasing process end to end, including applications, documentation, and move-in coordination.
- Build positive ongoing relationships with current residents to support retention and renewals.
- Maintain accurate records, respond promptly to leads, and represent the AvalonBay brand with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- A results-driven mindset with comfort in a sales-oriented, goal-based environment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple prospects and administrative tasks at once.
- Reliability and availability for an on-site schedule in Fairfax, Virginia (this role is not remote).
- Experience in leasing, hospitality, retail, or a related customer-facing field is helpful.
