Principal Devops Engineer

As a Principal DevOps Engineer at Lodgify, you will drive the strategic direction and architectural excellence of our infrastructure, platform, and DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi/Terraform), and modern DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience with platform engineering at scale (developer platforms, paved roads, self-service)
• Proven ability to design large-scale, distributed systems, balancing complexity, reliability, and cost
• Track record in translating business objectives into infrastructure strategy and technical roadmaps
• Strong leadership through influence (guiding multiple teams without direct authority)
• Excellent communication in English (written and verbal), able to explain complex technical topics to mixed audiences
• Systems thinking: understanding of how infrastructure, applications, data, and security interact across the stack
• Expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving in ambiguous, high-impact environments
• Deep awareness of industry trends and best practices (cloud, DevOps, platform engineering)
• Advanced certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Architect, AWS SA Professional, CKA/CKAD/CKS, security certifications)
