Dishwasher/Utility Worker – Part-Time

Greensboro Urban Ministry is hiring a part-time Dishwasher/Utility Worker to support daily food-service operations at Potter's House in Vandalia, Guilford County. About the Role

As a Dishwasher/Utility Worker with Greensboro Urban Ministry, you'll help keep the Potter's House kitchen sanitary, organized, and ready to serve. Because Potter's House operates seven days a week, available shifts run from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on both weekdays and weekends. This is a part-time, on-site position in Vandalia, Guilford County, and applicants are encouraged to share their full work availability when applying.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and serving equipment
• Maintain clean and orderly kitchen, dishwashing, and dining areas throughout each shift
• Support general utility tasks that keep food-service operations running smoothly
• Follow established health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Assist kitchen and serving staff as needed during morning and midday service

Qualifications

• Willingness to work part-time shifts between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM, including weekdays and weekends
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of dishwashing and kitchen utility work
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Comfortable maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in a busy kitchen
• Open availability across the seven-day Potter's House schedule is a plus
