About the Role

As a Diesel Mechanic and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician based in Oakland, you will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of the diesel-powered and ground support machinery that keeps daily operations moving. It is a full-time, on-site position well suited to a technically minded professional with a genuine interest in aviation, heavy equipment, and reliable mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair diesel engines and ground support equipment to maintain safe, efficient performance
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults and carry out timely corrective work
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Verify that all serviced equipment meets safety and operational standards before it returns to use
• Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic or GSE Technician, or comparable technical background
• Solid working knowledge of diesel engine systems and the tools used to service them
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability with close attention to detail and safety
• A passion for aviation, heavy equipment, or ground support operations
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Oakland, Alameda County
