About the Role
As a Bus Driver with Lampasas Independent School District, you will operate a district school bus along assigned routes, delivering safe, dependable, and caring transportation for students each day. This full-time position follows a morning and afternoon split shift, supporting families before and after the school day. Pay is determined based on your driving experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport students safely and efficiently along assigned routes each morning and afternoon
- Maintain a calm, caring, and supportive environment for the students you carry
- Follow all district, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety procedures
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to keep your vehicle road-ready
- Uphold a consistent, dependable presence across the split-shift schedule
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for operating a school bus
- A clean, successful driving record
- Availability to work a morning and afternoon split shift
- A patient, student-centered approach and a strong commitment to safety
