PROPERTY MANAGER

Oakland Stables is seeking an experienced Property Manager to take the reins of our equestrian facility in Stamford, Fairfield County — a hands-on, full-time leadership role overseeing every aspect of barn, arena, and grounds operations.

About the Role

As Property Manager at Oakland Stables in Stamford, you will direct the day-to-day care and upkeep of a working equestrian property. The position centers on keeping barns, arenas, paddocks, turnout areas, equipment, and supporting infrastructure running smoothly, safely, and to a professional standard. You will balance the practical demands of facility maintenance with the needs of horses, riders, and the team who care for them.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete management, maintenance, and operation of the equestrian facility and its grounds.
• Maintain barns, riding arenas, paddocks, and turnout areas so they remain safe and in excellent working condition.
• Manage facility equipment, supplies, and on-site infrastructure, coordinating repairs and upkeep as needed.
• Ensure daily operations support the wellbeing of the horses, the staff, and the riders who use the property.
• Uphold safe, efficient, and professional standards across all areas of the stable environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing or maintaining an equestrian property, farm, or comparable facility.
• Working knowledge of horse care needs and the conditions required for safe barns, arenas, and turnout.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to keep operations running efficiently.
• A safety-focused, professional approach and the capability to coordinate staff and on-site resources.
• Availability for this full-time, on-site role in Stamford, Fairfield County.
