Deer's Head Hospital Center is hiring a Dialysis Services Technician II to join the renal care team at the Maryland Department of Health in Salisbury — a hands-on role with the State of Maryland supporting patients living with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) in Wicomico County, Maryland.
About the Role
This is a full-time, contractual position classified at grade ASTD11, based on-site at Deer's Head Hospital Center in Salisbury. As a Dialysis Services Technician II, you will help deliver safe, reliable dialysis treatment by preparing, running, and caring for the specialized equipment that patients depend on. It is also a position designed for continued professional growth, giving you the opportunity to deepen your clinical knowledge and technical skills over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare dialysis machines and related equipment ahead of patient treatments.
- Operate specialized dialysis equipment safely and accurately during ESRD treatment.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and checks to keep equipment in proper working order.
- Support the care of patients with End-Stage Renal Disease alongside the clinical team.
- Continue building knowledge of dialysis procedures, protocols, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Background, training, or certification relevant to a Dialysis Services Technician II role.
- Familiarity with the preparation, operation, and upkeep of dialysis or comparable medical equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety in a clinical setting.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time at Deer's Head Hospital Center in Salisbury, Maryland.
- A desire to keep learning and advancing within the dialysis services field.
