About the Role
As a full-time Kitchen Designer with Home Depot in Soquel, Santa Cruz County, you will partner directly with customers to plan kitchen and bath remodels from first idea to finished design. Working from the showroom, you'll combine a friendly, consultative approach with hands-on design tools to deliver solutions that fit each customer's vision and lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, build rapport, and uncover what they want from their kitchen or bath project.
- Guide shoppers through the design journey, presenting tiered "good, better, best" options so they can choose with confidence.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on products, available services, and installation.
- Prepare take-home samples and design layouts using showroom resources and design software.
- Translate customer goals into practical, accurate designs that move from concept to completed order.
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in design, home improvement, and creating standout kitchen and bath spaces.
- Strong listening and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Comfort learning and applying design tools and showroom technology.
- Ability to manage multiple customer projects with attention to detail.
- Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule in Soquel, Santa Cruz County (this role is not remote).
