As a Grounds Student Assistant at Florida Gulf Coast University, you will work alongside facilities staff to keep outdoor spaces clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. Key Responsibilities
- Walk assigned sections of campus on a regular schedule to gather and properly dispose of trash and recyclable materials.
- Assist with outdoor waste collection and recycling services across designated areas.
- Help tend to plants, greenery, and landscaped spaces to support a healthy, attractive campus environment.
- Provide general grounds upkeep support to faculty and staff as directed by the Work Management Center.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and orderly outdoor setting throughout the university grounds.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment as a student eligible for student assistant employment at FGCU.
- Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical, hands-on tasks across the campus.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow assigned routes and instructions.
- A cooperative attitude and commitment to supporting the campus community.
