About the Role
As a Maintenance Supervisor at WVU Medicine, you will direct the day-to-day work of facilities management staff within your designated areas. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on keeping equipment, systems, and physical spaces operating reliably so clinical teams can deliver exceptional patient care without interruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of facilities maintenance personnel in assigned locations.
- Schedule, assign, and prioritize maintenance tasks to keep facilities fully operational.
- Support routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance across building systems and equipment.
- Guide, train, and develop team members to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Relevant education and/or certifications in facilities, maintenance, or a related trade (as outlined in the official posting).
- Proven experience supervising or leading maintenance or facilities teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Solid working knowledge of building systems, equipment upkeep, and safe operating practices.
- Effective communication and team-leadership abilities.
