Company driver

Rocky Transport Inc is hiring a full-time Company Driver in Valley Stream, Nassau County to keep our refrigerated, power-only, and dry van freight moving safely across the country.

About the Role

As a solo W2 Company Driver based out of Valley Stream, Nassau County, you'll run over-the-road (OTR) lanes hauling reefer, power-only, and dry van loads. The position blends dedicated, line haul, and LTL freight, with weekly mileage that typically falls between 500 and 3,500 miles depending on the route. Weekly average pay ranges from $1,500 to $2,500, calculated at 25% of the load.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company equipment safely on OTR assignments, transporting refrigerated, power-only, and dry van freight
• Run a mix of dedicated, line haul, and LTL routes as a solo driver
• Handle approximately 10% driver load/unload duties when required
• Plan and complete trips averaging 7 to 21 days out, with the flexibility to extend your time on the road if you prefer
• Maintain compliance with all transportation regulations and on-time delivery standards

Qualifications

• Eligible to work as a W2 solo company driver
• Comfortable handling OTR freight across refrigerated, power-only, and dry van trailers
• Able to manage extended periods away from home, generally between one and three weeks per trip
• Willing to perform occasional load and unload tasks
• Committed to safe, dependable driving and professional service

Home Time

• Expect 7 to 21 days out per trip, with the option to stay out longer
• Earn 5 days of home time for every 25 days worked
• Home at least two weekends each month
