OTR Class A Reefer Driver (1099)

About the Role

This is a 1099 contract position for an over-the-road (OTR) solo driver handling refrigerated (reefer) loads. As an OTR Class A Reefer Driver, you'll cover long-haul routes for a small, family-run carrier, with weekly gross pay averaging roughly $1,400 to $2,500 and an expected 3,000 to 3,500 miles each week. Operations run out of Wilmer, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A vehicle to transport temperature-controlled freight across OTR lanes
• Run an average of 3,000 to 3,500 miles per week as a solo contract driver
• Maintain consistent attendance to qualify for available attendance and fuel bonuses
• Manage refrigerated cargo safely throughout transit (no driver load or unload required)
• Plan for approximately 14 days out per route cycle before scheduled home time

Qualifications

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL)
• Experience with over-the-road, long-distance driving
• Comfortable operating as an independent 1099 contractor
• Willingness to stay out roughly 14 days at a time
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to handle refrigerated freight responsibly

Compensation Highlights
