Markon is hiring a full-time Move Manager/Space Planner in Washington, D.C. to lead occupancy planning, relocation logistics, and space optimization within a fast-paced, mission-driven facilities setting.
About the Role
As a Move Manager/Space Planner at Markon, you will guide every stage of facility relocation projects in Washington, D.C., from initial concept through final move-in. Working hand-in-hand with end users, designers, project managers, and government stakeholders, you will help shape workspaces that are efficient, compliant, and ready to support evolving organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee space planning and occupancy management across an active and changing facilities portfolio.
- Coordinate personnel moves, balancing schedules, logistics, and stakeholder expectations.
- Contribute to all planning and execution phases of facility relocations, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Partner with designers, project teams, and government clients to maximize compliant space utilization.
- Serve as a central point of contact for end users throughout each move lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Experience in move management, space planning, or occupancy coordination within a facilities environment.
- Strong collaboration skills for engaging end users, designers, project managers, and government stakeholders.
- Ability to manage the full arc of a relocation project, from planning through execution.
- Understanding of compliant and efficient space utilization practices.
- Comfortable working on-site in Washington, D.C. in a full-time, in-person capacity.
