Supplier Quality Engineer

Hanwha Aerospace USA is seeking a detail-driven Supplier Quality Engineer in Cheshire, New Haven County, Connecticut, to safeguard the quality of flight-critical aerospace and defense components across our supply base.

About the Role

As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Hanwha Aerospace USA, you will serve as the bridge between our manufacturing operations and our supplier network, ensuring that every part entering our facilities meets the exacting standards required for aerospace and defense applications. This is a full-time, on-site, exempt position based in Cheshire, CT.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess supplier quality performance for flight-critical components and assemblies
• Investigate nonconformances, drive root-cause analysis, and verify corrective actions with suppliers
• Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to confirm compliance with aerospace quality requirements
• Partner with procurement, engineering, and production teams to resolve quality concerns early
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the reliability of the supply chain

Qualifications

• Background in quality engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
• Familiarity with supplier quality processes within aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments
• Working knowledge of inspection methods, corrective-action tools, and quality management systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Cheshire, Connecticut
