Mercor
We are looking for a Geography PhD – GIS Specialist to work as a contract employee, reviewing and annotating problem sets using maps, satellite imagery, GIS output, and topographic figures, and collaborating with AI research teams to improve model outputs and training data quality.
Requirements
- PhD in Geography, Earth Sciences, or GIS
- Working fluency in at least two of: physical geography, human geography, GIS, remote sensing, cartography
- Comfortable with maps, satellite imagery, GIS output, and topographic figures
- Clear technical writing; articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form
