About the Role

As an Early Learning Teacher with Kairos PDX, you will lead a vibrant, developmentally rich classroom rooted in equity and culturally responsive practice. This on-site position in Portland centers the youngest students, partnering closely with families and the wider community to give underserved children an excellent educational foundation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate early learning experiences grounded in innovative, child-centered pedagogy.
• Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and joyful classroom where every child feels seen and supported.
• Observe, assess, and document each child's growth to guide individualized learning.
• Build authentic partnerships with families, welcoming them as collaborators in their child's education.
• Work alongside fellow educators and community partners to advance equitable outcomes for all students.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for early childhood education and for closing opportunity and achievement gaps.
• Background or training in early learning, child development, or a closely related field.
• Skill in fostering culturally responsive, equity-driven learning environments.
• Strong communication abilities for connecting with young children, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to collaboration, reflection, and continuous professional growth.
