About the Role

As an Optician Level 1 at Walmart in Lake Quivira, Johnson County, you will support customers throughout their eyewear journey — from selecting frames to fitting finished glasses. This is a full-time, in-person position with an hourly pay range of $16 to $24 per hour. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage required for the job location, and the role may include annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional premium pay ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply in certain situations, depending on factors such as schedule and facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers visiting the Vision Center with warmth and professionalism
• Help shoppers choose frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget
• Take accurate measurements and ensure proper fitting and adjustment of eyewear
• Process orders and explain product options, care, and pricing clearly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Vision Center environment
• Follow company standards and applicable regulations for optical service
