About the Role

This full-time Underground General Labor position is based in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, with crews working in the New Hope, MN area, where multiple openings are currently available. You'll spend your days outside as part of the Arvig construction crew, performing the hands-on underground work that keeps fiber and broadband infrastructure expanding. The typical schedule runs 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday — leaving weekends free. Starting pay is $25.06 per hour, increasing to $28.49 per hour for crew members who hold a Class A CDL. More than a single job, this role is a genuine entry point into a long-term career in the skilled trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks supporting underground broadband and fiber construction projects
• Work outdoors throughout the workday alongside an experienced Arvig construction crew
• Assist with the installation, placement, and maintenance of underground infrastructure
• Operate within a structured weekday schedule of approximately 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a productive, team-focused job site

Qualifications

• Willingness and physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in varied conditions
• Dependability and a strong commitment to showing up and getting the work done
• A Class A CDL is an asset and qualifies you for a higher hourly rate, though it is not required to start
