Cognia, Inc. is hiring a Lead Evaluator, Early Learning (Part-Time) to help schools and early learning programs grow as a trusted partner in advancing meaningful, lasting learning outcomes.
About the Role
As a Lead Evaluator, Early Learning with Cognia, Inc., you will guide and conduct on-site and program evaluations that strengthen the quality of early childhood education. This part-time position is ideal for an experienced early learning professional who wants to apply deep classroom and program knowledge to support continuous improvement across schools. Because the work is conducted in the field rather than remotely, candidates should be based in — or bring substantial professional experience working in — the Chicago, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas, or Denver areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead evaluations of early learning programs and schools using established quality standards.
- Observe early childhood classrooms and learning environments, gathering evidence to inform findings.
- Collaborate with educators and program leaders as a constructive, trusted partner focused on improvement.
- Synthesize observations into clear, actionable feedback that helps advance learning.
- Represent Cognia, Inc. professionally throughout each evaluation engagement.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in early learning or early childhood education is required.
- Residence in, or significant working experience within, the Chicago, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas, or Denver area.
- Strong observational, analytical, and communication skills suited to evaluation work.
- A collaborative mindset and genuine commitment to improving the work of schools.
- Comfort working independently and in the field, as this role is not remote.
