Frederick County Public Schools is hiring a full-time Facility Service Worker at Linganore Creek Elementary School in Frederick County, Maryland, to help keep our learning spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for students and staff.
About the Role
As a Facility Service Worker with Frederick County Public Schools, you will play a hands-on part in the daily upkeep of school buildings and grounds. This is an on-site, full-time position based at Linganore Creek Elementary School, supporting facility operations that allow educators and students to focus on learning in a well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning, custodial, and general maintenance tasks throughout assigned school facilities.
- Help ensure classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and grounds remain sanitary, orderly, and safe.
- Support setup and breakdown for school events, meetings, and daily operations.
- Identify and report repair needs or safety concerns to facilities leadership.
- Follow established procedures for the safe handling and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Ability to reliably complete physical, hands-on facility and custodial work.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safe, clean spaces.
- Willingness to work on-site at Linganore Creek Elementary School in Frederick County.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and work cooperatively as part of a facilities team.
