Direct Support Professional MG-AC

Exceptional Family Resources is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional (MG-AC) in Fabius, Onondaga County, to make a meaningful difference in the daily life of a young man and his family.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional with ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources, you will work one-on-one in the Fabius–Pompey area alongside a young man living with multiple diagnoses, including autism and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). His family is seeking a committed DSP who can help him pursue his personal goals and build independence, both within his home and out in the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, person-centered support to a young adult with autism and FASD.
• Assist with progress toward individual goals in home and community-based settings.
• Accompany him to activities and outings throughout the Fabius–Pompey area.
• Encourage skill-building, daily living routines, and community participation.
• Partner with the individual and his family to deliver reliable, respectful care.

Qualifications

• A genuine commitment to supporting people with developmental disabilities.
• Patience, dependability, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfort working in both home and community environments.
• Willingness to travel within the Fabius and Onondaga County area for this on-site, full-time position.
