About the Role
As a Class A Local Fuel Transport Driver, you will operate a tank truck to move fuel oil, lubricating oil, gasoline, and petroleum gas from our terminal to customer locations. Trucks are based in Barnhart, and all routes are local, so you can deliver dependable service while returning home regularly. This role centers on safe, accurate, and on-time fuel delivery throughout the Antonia and Jefferson County area.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a tank truck to transport and deliver gasoline, fuel oil, lubricating oil, and petroleum gas to customer sites
- Ensure every load arrives safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Complete local delivery routes originating from the Barnhart terminal
- Follow all DOT, safety, and hazardous-materials handling regulations during loading, transport, and unloading
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Provide courteous, professional service to customers at each delivery point
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A
- Experience or willingness to handle fuel and petroleum product transport
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage a local delivery schedule independently
- Ability to perform the physical tasks associated with loading and unloading fuel
