Machinist

Constellation is hiring a full-time Machinist in Druid, Baltimore to fabricate, repair, and maintain the precision components that keep clean energy generation running safely and reliably.

About the Role

As a Machinist at Constellation, you will work hands-on at our Druid, Baltimore facility, producing and restoring machined parts to exacting tolerances. This on-site position supports the equipment and systems behind the nation's largest fleet of clean, dependable power generation, giving skilled tradespeople a direct role in keeping critical infrastructure operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to manufacture components to specification
• Measure finished work with precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify quality
• Inspect, repair, and recondition worn or damaged parts to extend equipment service life
• Select appropriate materials, tooling, feeds, and speeds for each job
• Maintain machinery, keep an organized workspace, and follow all safety and housekeeping standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machinist or in a comparable skilled-trades machining role
• Working knowledge of manual and/or CNC machining equipment and processes
• Ability to read blueprints and apply precise measurement techniques
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to workplace safety
• Willingness to work on-site at the Druid, Baltimore location
