Principal Statistical Programmer FSP – RWD/EPI

Cytel is seeking a detail-oriented Principal Statistical Programmer FSP - RWD/EPI to join our Epidemiology function in Augusta, Kennebec County, supporting impactful real-world data and epidemiological research on a full-time, on-site basis.

About the Role

In this Functional Service Provider (FSP) position, you will partner closely with epidemiologists and statisticians to transform Real World Data (RWD) into reliable, analysis-ready resources. The role blends hands-on statistical programming with strategic input, helping shape the analytic approaches that drive sound epidemiological insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and structure Real World Data so it is fit for downstream epidemiology analyses.
• Advise the Epidemiology team on data analytic strategies and best practices.
• Support stakeholders across a range of epidemiology analytic activities.
• Carry out statistical programming and analysis under the guidance of epidemiologists and statisticians.
• Perform data coding, build algorithms, and link datasets to enable robust study outputs.

Qualifications

• Strong statistical programming expertise applied to Real World Data and epidemiological studies.
• Experience preparing, coding, and integrating complex datasets, including dataset linkage.
• Ability to develop algorithms and translate analytic strategies into reproducible code.
• Comfort collaborating with epidemiologists and statisticians within a regulated research setting.
• Effective communication skills to advise stakeholders and support cross-functional activities.
