Mercor is hiring a Mechanical Engineer – AI Trainer for a contract position. The role involves evaluating AI model performance on mechanical engineering problems, reviewing and annotating tasks, and producing original problem sets. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and is comfortable with engineering drawings and performance curves.
Requirements
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering or MS with 3+ years of applied experience
- Working fluency in at least two of: statics/dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, or heat transfer
- Comfortable with engineering drawings, free-body diagrams, and performance curves
