About the Role

As a Diesel Mechanic with MCLEOD TRUCK PARTS INC, you'll diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines and related truck systems at our Tuscaloosa location. This is a full-time, in-person position (not remote) ideal for a detail-oriented technician who enjoys solving mechanical problems and delivering quality workmanship every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, and electrical systems on trucks and equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and recommend the correct parts and repairs.
• Document completed work accurately and communicate findings clearly to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with shop standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and truck systems.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Comfortable using standard shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work full-time on-site in Tuscaloosa.
