Magnolia ISD is now hiring a General Maintenance Worker – Summer Help, a full-time seasonal opportunity supporting district facilities across the US. Join our Maintenance team and help keep campuses safe, functional, and ready for the school year ahead.
About the Role
As a General Maintenance Worker – Summer Help with Magnolia ISD, you will assist the Maintenance department with general upkeep and repair work throughout the summer months. This is a nonexempt, hourly position reporting to the Director of Maintenance or the Executive Director of Facilities. It is an on-site role (not remote) and a strong fit for dependable individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in maintaining quality learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across district buildings and grounds
- Support routine upkeep of facilities to ensure safe, clean, and well-functioning spaces
- Assist skilled maintenance staff with seasonal projects scheduled during the summer
- Use tools and equipment safely and follow established maintenance procedures
- Complete assigned work efficiently under the direction of department leadership
Qualifications
- Willingness to perform physical, hands-on maintenance work in a school setting
- Ability to follow instructions and work reliably as part of a team
- Comfortable handling general repair, cleanup, and upkeep duties
- Available to work full-time hours throughout the summer season
- Commitment to safety and to supporting a positive campus environment
