About the Role
The Counselor Pool- 2026-27 SY is a full-time, on-site opportunity with Lewisville ISD. Selected candidates may be placed at the elementary, middle, or high school level, with calendar lengths that vary by campus (191 days for elementary, 196 days for middle school, and 208 days for high school). Specific work locations are assigned by the district, and start dates vary based on placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate school counseling program that supports academic, social-emotional, and career growth.
- Provide individual and group counseling to help students navigate personal challenges and reach their full potential.
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to promote a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Guide students through academic planning, course selection, and post-secondary or career readiness preparation.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold professional and ethical counseling standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas School Counselor certification (or eligibility to obtain certification).
- Background and training consistent with the requirements for a professional school counselor role.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to supporting the diverse needs of students across grade levels.
