Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana is hiring a Full-Time Store Team Leader in Peru, IL — a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to help run a high-performing retail store while supporting a mission that strengthens the community.
About the Role
As a Full-Time Store Team Leader, you will partner with the Store Leader, Assistant Store Leader, and the wider management team to deliver the operational goals set out in the store's annual operating plan. This is an hourly position paying $16.50 per hour, based at 1307 N 38th St, Peru, IL 61354. You will spend your day on the sales floor, exercising sound judgment across customer service, staffing, and day-to-day operations to keep the store running smoothly and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Leader, Assistant Store Leader, and management team in executing the store's operational objectives.
- Make informed decisions that balance the needs of customers, team members, and the business.
- Help resolve operational issues as they arise and keep daily tasks on track.
- Contribute to business planning, set priorities, and guide the team toward shared goals.
- Deliver an excellent shopping experience that reflects Goodwill's standards and values.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support a retail team.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced store environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with clear communication abilities.
- Comfortable juggling competing priorities and assisting with operational planning.
- Availability to work a full-time schedule, including the flexible hours typical of retail.
