HSE Specialist

CEC Energy is hiring a full-time HSE Specialist to join our on-site team in Milano, Texas (Milam County), helping safeguard the people and projects behind critical energy and industrial work.

About the Role

As an HSE Specialist with CEC Energy, you will champion health, safety, and environmental excellence across active job sites in Milano, Milam County. This is a fully on-site position that places you at the center of our commitment to protecting workers, maintaining compliance, and reinforcing the disciplined execution our electrical construction and industrial projects demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards throughout daily field operations.
• Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and audits to identify and resolve risks before they escalate.
• Support compliance with applicable regulatory, client, and company HSE requirements.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing training for crews and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner with project leadership to embed safety into planning and execution on capital-intensive work.

Qualifications

• Background in health, safety, and environmental practices, ideally within construction, electrical, or industrial settings.
• Working familiarity with relevant safety regulations and field compliance expectations.
• Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Milano, TX, in a fast-paced project environment.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset focused on prevention and accountability.
