About the Role

As a Software Engineer, RL Data at Anthropic, you will take on a senior, foundational position on a brand-new team in the US. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure and pipelines that fuel reinforcement learning workflows.
• Establish engineering practices and technical foundations for a newly launched team.

• Improve the quality, reliability, and accessibility of the data that underpins RL training and experimentation.

Qualifications

• Substantial software engineering experience, with the seniority to lead foundational work and influence technical decisions.
• Strong background in building scalable data pipelines, infrastructure, or backend systems.
• Comfort operating in an early-stage team environment where priorities and structure are still taking shape.
• Interest in reinforcement learning, machine learning data systems, and the broader goal of safe AI.
• Eligibility to work full-time in the United States; this is an on-site (non-remote) position.
