Associate Attorney – Environmental Law

Lippes Mathias LLP is hiring a full-time Associate Attorney - Environmental Law in Brighton, Monroe County, to advise national clients on complex environmental and insurance matters. About the Role

As an Associate Attorney - Environmental Law at Lippes Mathias LLP, you will collaborate closely with the firm's Environment and Energy Practice as well as the Insurance Recovery, Counseling & Litigation Teams. Working from our Clarence or Rochester offices, you will serve clients whose work spans the country, handling sophisticated environmental and insurance-related engagements that demand sharp legal judgment and a client-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide counsel and litigation support across environmental, energy, and insurance recovery matters for a nationwide client base.
• Partner with senior attorneys and cross-practice teams to develop strategy and drive cases forward.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents while managing matters with independence and accountability.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, practical legal guidance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of practicing experience at the mid- to senior level.
• Demonstrated background in environmental, energy, or insurance recovery and litigation work.
• Admission to practice law and good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, with the drive and ambition to thrive in a growing practice.
• Willingness to work on-site from the firm's Clarence or Rochester office.
