Mercor is seeking a Sociology Expert – Demography Specialist to work on AI model performance evaluation and problem sets creation. The role involves technical tasks, task review and annotation, and problem set production.
Requirements
- PhD in Sociology, MA in Sociology with 3+ years research, policy, or teaching experience, or BA in Sociology with 5+ years applied research, policy, or teaching experience.
- Working fluency in at least two of: social theory, stratification, demography, qualitative methods, quantitative methods.
- Comfortable with demographic charts, social network diagrams, and survey output.
- Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
