Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) is hiring a full-time Legal Assistant in Manhattan to provide hands-on support to our New York and New Jersey legal teams from our Canal Street office.

As a Legal Assistant at QPWB, you will work alongside attorneys managing civil litigation and related matters, keeping cases organized and moving forward. This is an on-site, full-time position based at our Canal Street location in Manhattan, ideal for a detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced defense practice. Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the day-to-day handling of civil cases across the New York and New Jersey offices
- Draft, format, proofread, and file legal correspondence and documents
- Maintain and organize case files, calendars, and deadlines
- Coordinate scheduling, communications, and follow-ups with courts, clients, and outside counsel
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to keep matters running smoothly
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Legal Assistant, legal secretary, or in a comparable law office support role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with sharp attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Comfort with standard office software and legal document management tools
- A collaborative, professional, and dependable approach to teamwork
- Availability to work full-time on-site at the Canal Street, Manhattan office
