Area Cooperative Educational Services is seeking a dedicated full-time Special Education Teacher to join The Bridge at ACES in the United States, supporting students who thrive in a personalized, relationship-centered learning model.
About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher with Area Cooperative Educational Services, you will work within The Bridge at ACES, a program designed for learners who have struggled to thrive in conventional classrooms. You will help shape an individualized environment where students forge meaningful, supportive relationships with their teachers and classmates, and where each young person is encouraged to chart a personal path toward academic, social, and career growth. This is an on-site role based in the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student's learning profile and goals.
- Build trusting, supportive connections that help students feel safe, valued, and motivated.
- Guide learners in developing their own pathways toward educational, social, and career success.
- Foster a positive classroom culture where students who have struggled in traditional settings can flourish.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to meet the diverse needs of every student.
Qualifications
- Appropriate certification or licensure to teach special education.
- Experience supporting students with varied learning needs, ideally in alternative or non-traditional programs.
- A strengths-based, student-centered teaching philosophy and a commitment to relationship-driven education.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working alongside students, families, and colleagues.
- Availability for a full-time, in-person teaching position.
