Illinois School District U-46 is seeking a dedicated educator to lead the MS Performing Arts Showcase at Legacy Middle School, bringing student talent to the stage in a vibrant on-site role.
About the Role
This MS Performing Arts Showcase position with Illinois School District U-46 is an extra-duty, non-coaching assignment based at Legacy Middle School in Illinois (US). As part of the middle school activities program, you will coordinate and oversee a performing arts showcase that gives students a platform to develop and present their creative abilities. This is an on-site role reporting to the MS Athletic Director and Building Administrator.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct the middle school performing arts showcase from preparation through final performance.
- Guide and support participating students as they rehearse and prepare their presentations.
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and event details in partnership with building staff.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student creativity and participation.
- Collaborate with school administration to ensure the showcase aligns with district activity standards.
Qualifications
- Experience working with middle school students in a performing arts, activities, or educational setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage event planning and student coordination.
- Enthusiasm for mentoring young performers and supporting the arts.
- Ability to work on-site at Legacy Middle School and meet the requirements of an Appendix F extra-duty assignment within the ETA bargaining unit.
