Hillside Public Schools is now hiring a dependable, safety-focused Bus Aide to support the safe daily transport of students throughout the Hillside School District for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, on-site support staff position is a meaningful opportunity to make a difference for students every morning and afternoon.
About the Role
As a Bus Aide with Hillside Public Schools in the US, you will work alongside our bus drivers to help ensure every student rides to and from school safely and comfortably. This is an in-person role based within the Hillside School District, ideal for caring, attentive individuals who enjoy supporting young people in their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist students as they board and exit the school bus in a safe and orderly manner.
- Support and supervise students throughout each route to help maintain a calm, secure environment.
- Encourage appropriate behavior and help students follow established bus safety guidelines.
- Aid students who may need additional support, including those with special needs, during transport.
- Work cooperatively with the bus driver to address any concerns that arise during routes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- A patient, dependable, and caring approach to working with students of varying ages.
- Strong attention to safety and the ability to stay alert throughout each route.
- Willingness to commit to a full-time schedule for the 2025-2026 school year.
