Sr Ops Training Instructor

Constellation is hiring a full-time Sr Ops Training Instructor in Cordova, Rock Island County, to develop and deliver the operational training that keeps one of the nation's leading clean-energy operations running safely and reliably.

About the Role

As a Sr Ops Training Instructor at Constellation, you will lead the design and delivery of operations-focused training programs for plant personnel in Cordova, Rock Island County. This on-site position blends classroom instruction, hands-on coaching, and program development to ensure operators and technical staff have the knowledge and skills required to meet rigorous performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver operations training courses for plant operators and technical teams.
• Create instructional materials, lesson plans, and qualification assessments aligned with operational procedures.
• Conduct classroom, simulator, and on-the-job training sessions, evaluating trainee progress throughout.
• Maintain accurate training records and support compliance with applicable industry and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with operations leadership to identify skill gaps and continuously improve training effectiveness.
• Mentor newer instructors and reinforce a strong, safety-first learning culture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in power plant or industrial operations, with the depth to instruct others effectively.
• Background in developing and delivering technical or operations training programs.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities across varied learning styles.
• Working knowledge of operational procedures, safety practices, and compliance standards.
• Willingness to work on-site in Cordova, Rock Island County (this role is not remote).
