Housley Communications is seeking a skilled Utilities Equipment Operator CDL to join our crew serving the Lubbock, Texas area, based out of Wolfforth in Lubbock County. About the Role
As a Utilities Equipment Operator CDL with Housley Communications, you will run specialized machinery for the construction, repair, and ongoing maintenance of underground utility systems throughout Lubbock County. This full-time, on-site position keeps you in the field operating powerful equipment that keeps essential services connected.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maneuver heavy equipment including excavators, boring machines, wheel-type ditching machines, graders, front-end loaders, and backhoes.
- Carry out ditching, trenching, and excavation tasks tied to utility construction and repair projects.
- Bury drops and install underground utilities to project specifications.
- Handle smaller and less complex equipment as job requirements call for it.
- Support general construction, maintenance, and repair activities across job sites in the Lubbock area.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) for the operation of heavy and specialized vehicles.
- Proven background operating excavators, boring machines, ditching machines, graders, loaders, and backhoes.
- Prior experience burying drops and installing underground utilities.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors across varied conditions in Wolfforth and the greater Lubbock County region.
