About the Role
As a Travel Surgery RN with GQR Healthcare, you will join a hospital surgical team supporting operative cases across a variety of procedures. This is a full-time travel position covering day shifts, offering hands-on operating room experience in Keswick, Shasta County while you explore Northern California. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs for approximately 13 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and sterile field for each scheduled case
- Assist the surgical team and anticipate clinical needs throughout each procedure
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold strict aseptic and safety standards
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow nurses
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in California
- Demonstrated experience in the Operating Room / surgical specialty
- Availability for a 13-week assignment at roughly 36 hours per week
- Comfort working 12-hour day shifts in a hospital environment
- Flexibility and adaptability typical of a successful travel nurse
