About the Role
As an Accountant with UIC Bowhead Transport, LLC, you will direct and safeguard the company's day-to-day accounting functions, making certain that every financial statement is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule. Working hand-in-hand with the Bowhead Transport leadership group, you'll own the close cycle, keep billing on track, and lend your analytical insight to forward-looking financial planning. This is an on-site position based in Eagle River, Anchorage.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and administer the organization's core accounting operations from end to end.
- Protect the precision, reliability, and consistency of all financial reporting.
- Drive the month-end close, confirming that entries and reconciliations are completed promptly.
- Manage invoicing and billing workflows to keep cash flow moving smoothly.
- Collaborate with the Bowhead Transport management team to inform and support strategic financial decisions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated, hands-on expertise in accounting principles and practices.
- A sharp eye for accuracy combined with strong organizational discipline.
- Proven ability to manage close processes, reconciliations, and reporting deadlines.
- A team-oriented mindset and the confidence to work alongside management on financial matters.
- Availability to work full-time on-site in Eagle River, Anchorage.
