Electrical CAD Drafter

Insight Global is hiring a full-time Electrical CAD Drafter in Kansas City, Jackson County, to help expand the electrical design team at a top engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm. About the Role

As an Electrical CAD Drafter, you will produce accurate electrical engineering and construction documentation for demanding, mission-critical projects — including airports, federal buildings, and secure facilities. Working closely with the design team in Kansas City, your drawings will directly support the delivery of complex, high-reliability builds where precision is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and revise electrical construction drawings and supporting documents using CAD software.
• Translate engineering input into clear, code-compliant, high-quality drafted deliverables.
• Support the electrical engineering team across complex, mission-critical project assignments.
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and document standards throughout each project's lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to incorporate revisions and resolve design questions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience drafting electrical construction documents in a CAD environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing precise, reliable drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical engineering documentation for construction projects.
