About the Role

As a Facilities Electrical Engineer with Actalent, you will own the electrical and controls scope across a portfolio of process improvement, capital expansion, and obsolescence mitigation projects. This on-site position in Hampton places you at the center of engineering efforts that keep facility infrastructure modern, reliable, and ready for what comes next.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical and controls portion of process improvement, capital expansion, and equipment obsolescence projects from start to finish.
• Guide assigned projects through every stage, including concept development, scope definition, and the drafting of written technical specifications.
• Prepare bid solicitations and run the associated bid meetings with vendors and contractors.
• Direct equipment and facilities engineering and design work, carrying projects through manufacturing and implementation.
• Coordinate stakeholders and resources to keep schedules, budgets, and technical requirements aligned.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical engineering, with practical experience in facilities, controls, or capital project delivery.
• Ability to author detailed electrical specifications and review engineering and design documentation.
• Familiarity with the full project lifecycle, from scoping and bidding through manufacturing and commissioning.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for working across engineering, vendor, and facilities teams.
• Availability to work on-site at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton (this is not a remote role).
