Field Technician

MasTec Advanced Technologies is hiring a full-time Field Technician in Talcott Village, Hartford County to help build and maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps power, gas, and water systems running.

About the Role

As a Field Technician based in Talcott Village, Hartford County, you will work on-site supporting the construction, installation, and upkeep of essential utility infrastructure. This is a hands-on, full-time position with MasTec Advanced Technologies, ideal for someone who enjoys practical, outdoor work and takes pride in delivering safe, dependable results for power delivery, gas, and water customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• Support gas distribution construction and related field operations.
• Contribute to water, sewer, and civil infrastructure projects as assigned.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and according to established procedures.
• Follow all safety standards, quality guidelines, and site protocols.
• Coordinate with crew members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Willingness to perform physical, hands-on field work in a variety of weather and site conditions.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow technical instructions.
• Availability for full-time, on-site work in Talcott Village, Hartford County (this role is not remote).
• Relevant experience in electric, gas, water, or civil construction is an advantage.
