About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Lab Technician position based in San Francisco. As part of the Plasmidsaurus laboratory team, you will support the hands-on work that keeps our sequencing pipeline running smoothly and reliably. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable in a fast-moving lab environment, and motivated by the idea that careful bench work directly contributes to scientific progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine laboratory procedures that support sample processing and sequencing workflows
- Prepare, handle, and track biological samples with accuracy and consistency
- Operate and maintain lab equipment, following established protocols and safety standards
- Keep clear, organized records of samples, results, and daily lab activity
- Help maintain a clean, well-stocked, and efficient working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet turnaround expectations and quality benchmarks
Qualifications
- Background or training in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related life-science field
- Comfort performing precise, repeatable laboratory techniques
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organized approach to work
- Ability to follow protocols closely while keeping accurate documentation
- Willingness to work on-site at our San Francisco location
- A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in supporting scientific discovery
