Project Director

Stantec is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead complex program and construction management initiatives in Garden, Chatham County. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role for a professional who finds genuine satisfaction in guiding ambitious projects from first concept to final delivery.

About the Role

As Project Director at Stantec, you will collaborate closely with clients to shape, organize, and execute projects that move their organizations forward. Combining program oversight with hands-on construction management, you will help translate strategic vision into built reality across a diverse portfolio that spans hospitals, airports, university campuses, mass transit networks, water treatment plants, mining operations, and wind energy facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide integrated program and construction management leadership throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Partner with clients to develop strategy, define scope, and build actionable delivery plans.
• Oversee the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and facility projects from concept through completion.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and resources to keep work aligned with client goals.
• Drive outcomes that advance each client's mission and long-term objectives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience directing program and/or construction management on major capital projects.
• A track record of leading projects across sectors such as healthcare, aviation, education, transit, water, mining, or renewable energy.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational, and client-relationship capabilities.
• The ability to guide teams and deliverables from initial planning to successful handover.
• Availability for a full-time, on-site position based in Garden, Chatham County.
