About the Role

This is a temporary summer position running May 7 through August 26, 2026. As part of the grounds crew, you will help maintain lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces across the campus, ensuring everything looks sharp throughout the busy summer months. If you enjoy physical work in the fresh air and like seeing the immediate results of your effort, this on-site role in Lookout Mountain is a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general lawn care and routine landscaping across campus grounds
• Operate equipment such as mowers and weed eaters safely and effectively
• Use hand tools including rakes, shovels, and similar implements for upkeep tasks
• Keep flower beds, walkways, and green spaces tidy and well-maintained
• Complete assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Prior experience with landscaping and general lawn maintenance
• Working knowledge of mowers, weed eaters, rakes, shovels, and related equipment
• Genuine enjoyment of working outdoors in a variety of conditions
• Self-motivated and comfortable working without close oversight
• Physically able to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods
