Avera is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician (LCT) in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, to keep our Prince of Peace skilled nursing facility safe, comfortable, and fully operational for the residents who call it home.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician at Avera Prince of Peace–Skilled Nursing in Sioux Falls, you'll handle the hands-on upkeep that keeps a busy care environment running smoothly. This is a regular, day-shift position working Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (80 hours per pay period across two weeks), with an on-call rotation every fifth week from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. On-call hours are compensated, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for those who qualify.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive upkeep across the skilled nursing facility
- Respond promptly to service requests to maintain a safe, functional environment for residents and staff
- Support building systems, equipment, and grounds as needed
- Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation to address after-hours needs
- Follow all facility safety standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Hands-on maintenance, repair, or facilities experience preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot a range of building and equipment issues
- Reliable availability for a consistent weekday schedule plus periodic on-call coverage
- Commitment to creating a clean, secure setting in a healthcare environment

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $19.50 to $24.25 per hour, with actual rate determined by experience. Additional on-call pay and a qualifying $1,000 sign-on bonus add to the total value of joining our team.
